A little Labor Day treat for folks.
I found this while perusing Reddit. According to this Page the Roman citizens would abandon the city when they felt their welfare was not provided for. There were multiple historical accounts where the plebeians walked out. Each secession led to the strengthening of their rights. I am always pleased to find examples from the past where folks got fed up with being pushed around and standing up for themselves, ultimately being better off for it. It gives me hope.
For folks who want the quick and dirty of part of why we celebrate Labor Day, check this out. I hope you all enjoyed yours today.
