Last days of 2018 greetings Local 2975 Sisters & Brothers, earlier this month on December 8th, we had our Local’s Holiday party.  About 80 members, family & friends enjoyed a wonderful dinner catered by Delicias Valley Cafe and a membership dessert potluck. Local 2975 leadership presented their list of upcoming opportunities & tasks, and a business business meeting was conducted. During the meeting, members had a chance to get their ideas for the upcoming year written down. for the A highlight of the evening was the raffle drawing with members taking home some special gift cards to Winco, Dutch Bros, Highland Bowl, Block 15 & more. Thanks to all who attended!! Also a shout out to Bonnie Brzozowski, and her group of Library AFSCME members who made the evening happen. They did a fantastic job for us all!

Moving our Local forward in the coming year is what the next steps are all about.  We’ll be facing the levy election, and have a chance to prepare ourselves via actions and research for the next contract negotiations in a four years.

The pictures from the holiday party are thanks to Carlos’ daughter Kaylani.  Carlos, Shilo, Natalie & Ruth Rose presented these slides during the meeting:  Next Steps Presentation

Sincerely in solidarity,

Ruth Rose Hennessey
