  • August 8 5:30 pm, Library Pro-Worker Candidates Are the Goal

Each election cycle, AFSCME Council 75 provides us with the opportunity to meet face to face with the candidates running for state and local office. Candidates are interviewed regardless of party affiliation! This is an opportunity to ask candidates questions about their stand on issues important to us. Some years we meet at a restaurant, some years members have questions related to non-labor issues such as child abuse or fuel taxes. So please attend tomorrow Weds August 8th at 5:30 pm at the Corvallis Library on Monroe. Bring your questions and learn more about 4 of our state legislature candidates. We will be providing dinner so please RSVP to dtorres@oregonafscme.org This is a great opportunity to talk with people running for office who are seeking Oregon AFSCME’s endorsement. We need to make sure that we are supporting candidates that support us so it is important that members show up and get involved. Interviews schedule on Wednesday, August 8th. 5:30– Dinner and overview of races/candidates 6:00– Shelly Boschart Davis- Republican running for House District 15 to replace Andy Olson: Albany, Corvallis, Tangent, Linn and Benton Counties. 6:30– Rep.
