Union Night at the Corvallis Knights

Midway through the hardest summer of bargaining this local has seen, we went to a ball game.

Local 2975 sponsored Union Night at the Corvallis Knights. We bought 100 general admission tickets with meal vouchers and handed them out to members and their families outside Goss Stadium. It was hot, the food was free, and for one evening nobody had to talk about Article 18.

Solidarity is not only rallies and testimony. It is also knowing the people you stand beside — and letting their families see who their coworkers are.

We came back to the table the following week.
